Military Manpower Administrative and Clerical Support

Description

Seeking a highly organized individual with the ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and proactively anticipate the needs of our government client on a multi-year contract. A dynamic team player who provides administrative support in a variety of functions to individuals, departments, or Division Heads at SWRMC, NBSD 32nd Street, San Diego, CA. 

Shall provide general clerical, administrative, and functional support to 1,291 Divisional personnel and staff.  Provide customer services to personnel daily and track documents submitted to Salesforce.

 

Shall prepare for review: reports, memos and other documents using word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation (typically Microsoft Office suite of applications).

 

Shall review incoming order messages and sort them to member’s divisions.

 

Shall advise the service member on the orders obligation of service or for member to Re-enlist for the orders.   Contractor will generate the extension of service via NSIPS.

 

Shall familiarize them self with all TSC’s and their functions.

 

Shall assist on a smooth transitioning to members Retiring or Separating from the Naval Service.

 

Shall use DoD SAFE (Secure Access File Exchange) to send files which it includes DD214, Orders any document with Social Security Number.

 

Shall greet visitors and coordinate contact with respective departmental personnel.

 

Shall gain access to MSE on the NMCI network. This program shall be utilized to input office order requests.

 

Shall assist the department with command and ancillary administrative functions and program support, when requested.


Requirements

Ideal candidate will bring 4-10 years’ experience in an administrative support field, similar to military Yeoman, or Personalist. Reports to a company supervisor as well as an on-site manager, working independently with minimal guidance. Possess an enthusiasm for continuous personal and professional development, identify and implement process improvement, with a willingness to step outside one’s comfort zone to learn new things. Typical work schedule is 100% onsite, M-F 0630-1500.

 

Experience: minimum 3 years government travel experience, dealing with temporary duty (TDY) travel. Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

 

Salary: $22.40 to $37.50 per hour plus Health & Welfare of $4.57 per hour

 

Location: Southwest Regional Maintenance Command (SWRMC).
