Logistics Analyst (Afloat)

Description
The Logistics Analysts (Afloat) should have experience and knowledge in Navy Logistics operation; Navy financial management, stock control operation, inventory management of the Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF), supply and maintenance operation, configuration management, hotel service, food preparation, laundry and ship store services, retail operation; disbursing and postal operation, and all other related shipboard services as they relate to large afloat activities.

 

The proposed individual should have broad knowledge of the following:

Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
 

Logistics Analysts provides services in connection with Afloat Food Service and Sanitation Operations and Disbursing and Postal Operations. The individuals will provide training, assessment and inspection in food service, disbursing and postal operation. Proficiency in the following areas will be required – afloat food service operations, postal and disbursing programs, UMIDS, DDS, WINIATS, ATMs, and the Navy Cash program. Logistics Analysts provides services in connection with food service record keeping and inventory management, provide training to food service and retail personnel, and familiarity with retail service operation. Proficiency in the following areas will be required – Afloat FSM, ROM systems, LCM, and the Navy Cash system. Logistics Analysts provides services in connection with stock control operations, financial management, GCPC policy and procedure. Proficiency in Navy R-SUPPLY system, SABRS, CFMS, GCPC procedures, OPTAR management, DFAS OnePay system, and the US Bank system use for GCPC. 


Requirements
Should have at least an Associate degree in Logistics, Business Administration or a related business discipline or at least 15 years of experience and knowledge in US military logistics operation afloat and ashore, specifically the individuals should have a Logistics Specialist rating while in the military. To the extent a proposed individual for the Logistics Analyst position does not have an Associate’s degree in logistics or a business discipline, describe how the individual’s experience and knowledge makes up for the lack of a degree and contributes to both the successful performance of the PWS and the mission.

Salary Description
